While I thought I was handling his love of food with the grace and humility of a seasoned parent who recognizes she isn’t controlling any of this…it turns out I might have been a teensy bit smug about it.

All the professional advice is that I should choose focus. “Niche down,” it’s called. Choosing a specialty so you can focus your offerings to people who want just that thing. I love the simplicity of it. I’ve tried to do it so many times, and I just can’t!

Being a Mom is no joke.  But at least I’m a solo parent. And an entrepreneur. It’s a lot.

“Gentle parenting doesn’t work with my kids! They don’t change!” When the truth is, they’re just too young for the effect to be visible. 

I'm not used to being scared like this! But just being near these women made me feel so much safer. So much more grounded. So connected.

I don’t know what pattern you’re stuck in with your child and desperate to escape.  But I do know it's possible to teach them something new.
